A quiet collaboration
Hetkinen is part of a curated collaboration presented by Finnish Design Shop at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, alongside Finnish design brands such as Artek, Iittala, Lapuan Kankurit and Nikari.
The collaboration is part of the 'Tones of Modernism collection', created in celebration of the exhibition 'Seeing Silence: The Paintings of Helene Schjerfbeck at The Met' — the first solo exhibition by a Finnish artist at the museum.
Inspired by the work of Finnish artist Helene Schjerfbeck (1862–1946), Hetkinen has created a selection of scent diffusers, hand wash and sauna scents — each drawing from the muted tones and delicate atmosphere of Schjerfbeck’s paintings.
The collection brings together objects that share a sense of calm, softness and quiet presence.
The collection is available through Finnish Design Shop and at The Met. A quiet dialogue between art, design and the senses.
