Hetkinen candles use either cotton or wooden wicks, depending on the product. Cotton wicks provide a clean, even burn, while aspen wooden wicks create a soft crackling sound and a more atmospheric experience.

How to use a candle with wood wick?

You can use a Hetkinen wood wick trimmer. Trimming your wick to 5mm ensures a cleaner, longer burn while reducing smoke and soot, keeping your candle looking beautiful and burning evenly. A wood wick trimmer can be purchased also from our online store here.
